Book Review: Black Wave by Jeff Somers

Avery Cates is back. This time, he and his rag tag band of… miscreants? Rogues? Various members of a long gone society, thrown together for a common cause? Anyway… The band is back together and they need to acquire a working hover, so they can infiltrate a top secret base and turn the gears to society back on. Black Wave is part one and all about getting that hover.

For fans of Cyberpunk, Post Apocalyptic, and hard boil noir fiction, an Avery Cates adventure is like coming home. It’s a treasure one can jump back into and enjoy at a moments notice. If you haven’t jumped on this rail yet, what are you waiting for? This is my favorite series out there. Come on, get with the program.

If you need a refresher, then stop reading this and go buy the original 5 books that started the Avery Cates series off.

Black Wave is part one of what will be compiled into a book called The Machines of War. It gets the story released quicker to the fans and allows Mr. Somers to release his continuing adventures of Avery Cates in a way where he has total control. You’re going to love this ride!!!
